Photography shaped by patience, wild places, and a belief that what we witness is worth preserving.

Photography gives us the remarkable ability to stop time—to preserve a fleeting moment and share it with others.
For me, photography has never been simply about documenting a place or an animal. It is about connection: to the natural world, to cultures whose traditions are changing, and to quiet moments that might otherwise pass unseen.
“In the silence of the wild, the world reveals itself.”
— Michael Mucci
Having traveled to more than 70 countries, I have witnessed extraordinary beauty in both wilderness and humanity. From remote deserts and frozen mountains to intimate encounters with wildlife, these experiences have shaped how I see the world and strengthened my belief in our responsibility to protect it.
A single photograph can carry us back to a moment, awaken a memory, or inspire wonder. Through Captured Images, I create fine art photographs intended to endure—images that invite reflection, evoke curiosity, and deepen our connection to the natural world.

For me, photography is more than the pursuit of beautiful images. It is a way to preserve moments in a rapidly changing world. From the frozen wilderness of Mongolia to the coastal marshes of Southwest Florida, my work explores the connections between wildlife, people, and the landscapes we share.
Drawn to places where nature still speaks in silence, I seek moments that invite reflection rather than spectacle. My photographs celebrate the beauty of the natural world and the quiet dignity of cultures whose traditions remain closely connected to the land.
“If an image can create a deeper connection to the natural world, it can also give us a reason to care—and to protect.”
— Kati Weiss
Through my lens, distant places become personal. They remind us that biodiversity, wild landscapes, and cultural heritage are precious and worthy of our attention.
I believe photography can inspire stewardship. Each photograph is a work of art, but also a reminder of what remains wild and what we stand to lose.
My hope is that these images encourage us to slow down, look more closely, and reconnect with the extraordinary world beyond our everyday lives.
Two Perspectives. One Shared Journey.
Michael and Kati bring different perspectives to the places they explore. Their photographs are shaped by years of travel, patience in the field, and a shared fascination with wildlife, landscapes, and cultures deeply connected to the natural world.
Together, their work forms Captured Images.
