What We Witness Matters
Every wildlife photograph on Captured Images was made in the wild. The animals are shown where they live, within the landscapes that sustain them.
We have watched a black leopard emerge from the shadows in Kenya, polar bears cross Arctic ice, and a puma move beneath the mountains of Patagonia. Encounters like these are unforgettable. They also reveal how much space, prey, and healthy habitat wildlife needs to survive.
Our purpose is to share those encounters in a way that helps people see what is at stake. A photograph cannot protect a habitat on its own. It can bring a distant animal or place into someone’s daily life, spark curiosity about the pressures it faces, and encourage support for the people and organizations doing conservation work.
Wildlife and the Places It Needs
Protecting an animal means protecting more than the animal itself. Leopards need connected territory and prey. Tigers need healthy forests. Polar bears depend on Arctic sea ice. Jaguars depend on the wetlands and forests of the Pantanal.
These places are also home to people. Lasting conservation depends on listening to local communities and supporting approaches that allow people and wildlife to thrive alongside one another.
The photographs and stories below introduce some of the species we have been privileged to encounter and the habitats on which they depend.
How We Work in the Field
The welfare of the animal comes before the photograph. We aim to observe natural behavior with care, respect the places and communities that welcome us, and make images that reflect genuine encounters in the wild.
We share the location and story behind our work because those details matter. They connect each photograph to a real place—and to the challenges of keeping that place wild.
From Connection to Action
We hope our photographs give people a reason to look more closely, learn more, and support effective conservation. Below are organizations whose work we admire. We are not affiliated with them, and purchases from Captured Images do not automatically support them. We encourage you to explore their work and consider supporting the causes that matter to you.
Stories of Nature. Connection. Conservation.
