Kingdom of Ice and Snow - Artist: Katrin Weiss
The Altai Mountains, Mongolia 2024

High in the Altai Mountains of Mongolia, the landscape stretches into a seemingly endless world of snow, ice, and rugged peaks. Here, winter transforms the mountains into a place of extraordinary beauty—remote, silent, and almost untouched by time.

There is a profound sense of solitude in this landscape. The scale of the mountains makes everything else seem insignificant, while the simplicity of snow and sky reveals the raw architecture of the land beneath.

Kingdom of Ice and Snow captures the majesty of one of the world’s great wildernesses—a place where beauty is found not in abundance, but in space, silence, and isolation.

At the edge of the world, winter reigns—and silence becomes the landscape.
