Our journey took us to the breathtaking landscapes of northern Kenya, where we set out on an exhilarating quest to uncover the elusive black leopard, a creature shrouded in mystery and legend. The thrill of the chase and the beauty of the wild made every moment unforgettable.
We arrived at the Laikipia Wilderness Camp brimming with excitement and anticipation. As soon as we stepped into the camp, the director greeted us with a warm smile but quickly tempered our enthusiasm by sharing that wildlife sightings had been unusually scarce this year. He mentioned that a guest who had just departed after five days had only managed to catch a fleeting glimpse of a magnificent creature. Despite this, we held onto hope, eager to embrace the adventure that lay ahead.
